Still in the Layering Game

beatrice trodden - peak performance bomber jacket, adidas stan smith sneakers

Be warned, there is nothing special or stylish about this outfit. Right around this time of year the same thing happens – I totally give up on fashion. Well, not fashion itself, but my personal fashion. It's not spring yet, sure I know it's coming but it's definitely not here and the winter clothes just feel oh so overdone. In this circle of can't be f**dness comfortable, warm and quick is the name of the game. Really it's the fashion industries fault, always looking six months ahead means what I really want is next winters clothes. Now please. I've already spotted a few things that get a tick in the yes box. Something grunge from Ganni, luxe basics from Filippa K, anything Proenza Schouler and maybe some sequins from Preen. But that's in 9 months or so... for now I'll keep piling on the careless layers and wait for spring to appear with its slip dresses, loafers and sunglasses.

Turtlenecks with... Everything!

Flashback to Monday morning, when after working until 4am the night before (The Oscars, I blame you), getting out of bed was less than easy. So opting for a quick and easy outfit my current staple look was a go - a turtleneck with just about everything. On it's own, under shirts and sweaters, you tell me a way it can be worn and I will wear it. Actually, I'm off to experiment with wearing it as a scarf.

New York Fashion Week

I got back from New York Fashion Week a couple of days ago and I'm already missing the city. The buzz, the food the shopping, the atmosphere... you can't beat it. Until next time New York!

It was a quick visit and a busy few days. I went to a few shows, shot some street style, did a few interviews for The You Way and stopped by Anine's store opening. All in all a pretty good weekend. The one thing I won't miss? The cold - it was baltic (and that's saying something coming from Sweden!). Despite that I'm already plotting my next New york trip. You can never get enough of a good thing.

Lazy Day Look

I had the day day off work yesterday and let myself set in to a proper lazy day mode. It's been a while so was a much needed break from how hectic it's all been lately with work. Lazy days of course call for comfy outfits so my man Stan (Smith) was called in to action along with last years trusty Zara knit and a wooly hat hot off the AW14 runway

Soft Cashmere

winter outfit
vagabond shoes

Two words define my week, snow and cashmere. I received this softest of cashmere scarves as a late birthday gift and it couldn't have been more appropriate. The snow hit Stockholm yesterday, and I have to be honest, I haven't spent a winter in Sweden for eight years and it's definitely on the list of things I didn't miss. Style and snowstorms aren't an obvious combination, but the perfect shade of camel around my neck should help me manage.
